Things you need to know about Whatsapp !!

Whatsapp leading to Mob lynchings in India -

Facebook owned whatsapp has more than one billion downloads on play store and has millions of daily active users so, whatsapp has a such a huge fanbase but ever thought that whatsapp, a normal private social media platform whose aim was to make people engage with friends and family, could grow so much and to an extent that it could be the reason for end of someone's life.

So, basically what i mean to say is that fake news on whatsapp is spreading so rapidly even fake news appears to be true and due to the fake news it lead to mob lynching. Mob lynchings increased so much so that Indian government gave stern warning to whatsapp regarding 'spreading of irresponsible and explosive messages on its platform. The following updates are mainly as a result of fake and irresponsible news circulating everyday on whatsapp.

Here are top 3 things you need to know about whatsapp -

Update #1

Whatsapp to bring new feature to 'flag' fake news on whatsapp -

Fake news on whatsapp has been circulating through whatsapp from a long time but it was this time that it was too serious due to mob lynchings so, both Indian government and whatsapp had to act on it and so, whatsapp is testing this feature on its app which has the option to 'flag' to fake news so, that whatsapp users could know if it is a false information or fake news and i too think this act was a must and had to be taken as soon as possible so there could be an end to mob lynchings and any other similar act.

Update #2

Whatsapp to limit message forwarding to five chats in India -

This update again is due to unrelenting pressure from Indian government to whatsapp as a concern regarding fake news on whatsapp so, whatsapp on a statement said "In India where people forward more messages, videos and photos than any other country in the world - we'll also test a lower limit of message forwarding to five people" So, again whatsapp is stepping into right direction as it's a huge concern in India where whatsapp users in India forward every other message to their family, friends and relatives.

update #3

Whatsapp will use machine learning to identify accounts sending a high volume of messages -

Whatsapp also said that it will also use machine learning to identify the accounts sending messages in high volume so, that strict action could be taken against them. I also think whatsapp should verify accounts of its users in order to catch hold of the people spreading fake news and violating messages on whatsapp through artificial learning and machine learning.

So, if i talk about conclusion, whatsapp is taking each and every step so that false information is not to be forwarded on its platform as it already had lead to some serious conclusions and all these features will start rolling out on its official app but we'll have to wait since the changes are yet to be seen.

But the main two companies were samsung and xiaomi so let's talk about them in detail -

According to Biancco, samsung and xiaomi smartphone users are the ones to visit their service centres most frequnetly and there are mainly two smartphones of these companies are there which is making their customers to do so because t and those smartphones are Samsung's Galaxy S7 and Xiaomi's Redmi note 4 and the point is that Redmi note 4 is one of the best smartphones sold in terms of numbers which made Xiaomi India's no.1 brand and coming to samsung, S7 was a fantastic smartphone and it had one of the best sales of samsung's S series flagship grade smartphones and the smartphone also made some great sale numbers even on 2017. Why it happens ?

After all this, you may think that why these companies had so much of issues in their phones and especially samsung, simple answer to that is India is not a market where flagship smartphones of these companies is sold in huge numbers when compared to the numbers of low-end and midrange smartphones sold in India. Both of these smartphone companies has excellent selling units per month but those devices are mainly budget and mid range smartphones and these smartphones mainly being budget smartphones does not have that build quality as of flagship smartphones and these smartphones have low end processor and graphic which does not have that long life but here another shocking fact is that Samsung Galaxy S7 was a flagship grade smartphone and still had issues but mainly it was due to software issues not hardware mainly due to the fact that samsung's UI had many bugs and was not well optimized.
